Mixmaster DOC "Like Old Times" b/w "Still Here"

This is another pack I've been sitting on for no good reason. I sorted a lot of this out while I was in Los Angeles, and got scrambled when July hit. breaksblog.biz already posted the goodie pack that housed these dubs, which will be the second release coming out on Driven AM's record label; it also includes a slick, 49 minute dubstep mix, and some FREE tunes. "Like Old Times" is my tune right now.

Word is "Song For Lovers" is being re-released as a 2x12" release, featuring a remix by Lynx, Bungle's remix of "Spanish Sun" and a cut from the new album entitled "Match Point" (which dabbles in some deep house). The album was already Top 40 on iTunes' Dance chart, and gets 'nuff praise from me.

One of my favorite producers of any genre, as well as one of the few cats I'd consider a true homey, has recently dropped a 75 minute mix, featuring a host of tunes from the forthcoming Hard Soul album with Ink (which is amazing, trust), as well as a top-notch selection of new beats. DJ Friction B2B DJ Marky - The M1X Show (01/07/2005)

This past Saturday, I attended the Electric Daisy Carnival in Los Angeles. On the bill were both DJ Marky and DJ Friction, two DJs I'd never seen spin live. I knew what to expect, but I was still blown away nonetheless, especially by DJ Marky's fury behind the decks - he gets into tunes like I do, from mouthing the vocals to just overall GROOVIN' to the beat.

Four years ago, DJ Friction OWNED the 1Xtra M1x Show, and this B2B session is not only one of the best from this series, but one of my favorite DnB mixes, ever. Friction and Marky went B2B on a bevy of decks, hosted by Dynamite MC & SP:MC. They touch on a lot of the stormers from 2005, and seeing as this mix is literally four years old, why not bring it back?
