Concentric Beats is a documentary film about the US drum'n'bass experience, concentrating mainly on three cities: Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco. Besides featuring club and rave footage, the narrative of the film is carried through by over 70 interviews with some of the main protagonists of the drum'n'bass scene in the US as well as abroad. We listen as DJs, producers, club promoters, record label executives, dub-plate manufacturers, music journalists, and fans all drop knowledge on the history of the US drum'n'bass movement.

Spectrum (13/03/2010): Fusion's Spearhead/Future Retro records mix
As the Spectrum shows were drawing to a close, we focused more on mixes from former guests (more 320 mixer recordings of those to follow).
Spearhead/Future Retro label head BCee was a repeat guest, and subsequently during 2009 a presenter on the show. Unfortunately he was unable to appear on Spectrum before we finished, but to mark his involvement and in appreciation of the many fine tracks he provided, I spun out this mix.
This is recorded directly from the mixer, so there's no unnecessary talk - just the music ;-)

Spectrum: The Finale!
I got this in my inbox around Halloween weekend, and it slipped my mind INRE posting. The final episodes of Spectrum, a radio show that I'd been posting for a while, have all recently been posted on SoundCloud. This show featured Fusion, Driver and BCee, and featured some of the freshest and finest tunes within the Drum & Bass Scene. Here's a word from Fusion:So finally, here we are; the last Spectrum shows to be broadcast earlier this year. It is a shame we had to end it, but (family) life finally had to take over.

While I've not heard a new Zinc DnB tune as of late, the dude's one of my favorite producers within the genre. Dude's got a pretty nice variation to his style, but it's his undeniable dancefloor appeal is his sticking point. Recently, via twitter, he released two of his finest remixes: the 2003 version of his Fugees "Ready Or Not" remix, and the seminal "Shook Ones" Mobb Deep remix. At 320.
